For the colour scheme of the magazine I went with red, white, grey and black. I chose black and grey because they help to create a darker theme to my magazine to relate to my target audience since it brings to mind bands such as Joy Division and The Cure. The colour white was also useful in this aspect and it also helped me give my magazine a minimalistic look, helping it to appear stylish which is again important in appealing to my target audience. I chose red since it stands out clearly when placed atop a background of either one, or a mixture of the aforementioned colours.
